Big News and Hearts at Moto 1
Over the next couple of months Moto 1 we will be holding an online auction through eBay, featuring race memorabilia from some of today’s biggest stars, as well as many items from our fantastic sponsors. This auction should last through the end of January with all the proceeds going to Ethan Gillim’s Chasin a Dream Program. If you would like more information about the charity, please visit www.ethansdream.com . M1 Entertainment is trying to keep Ethan’s Dream alive so that young kids have a safe and properly educated environment to race in.

The world lost one of its brightest lights on May 5th 2007. Ethan "Butch" Gillim lost his life in a racing accident. Many of you may have known Ethan, many of you may have just heard us talk of him. The youngest of the three Gillim boys may have been the smallest, but was never over shadowed by his two older brothers and their talents, In fact, his brothers support and encouragement only aided in helping him shine with unbelievable brightness. He was completely a part of the team. The 2004 AMA Sports Youth Dirt Tracker of the Year accomplished many great things and touched many hearts in his short career. It is no doubt that he was a very special young man. We will miss you Butch.

In celebration of the life of Ethan "Butch" Gillim the community of Dirt Track Racing has rallied together to create the Ethan Gillim "Chasing A Dream" Supercamp school scholarship program. The program allows for four young riders (per two school weekend) to attend a two day school at no registration charge. While all eligible riders are encouraged to send applications, the program is envisioned to aid those who have not had the chance or opportunity to train in the American Supercamp program. In the spirit of this program's namesake we encourage anyone, and everyone, in all disciplines of motorcycle riding to encourage any rider who shows the heart and sheer enjoyment for riding that made Ethan such a special person.

Application requirements include: (1.) A short essay introducing yourself and your reasons for desiring to attend an American Supercamp motorcycle technique school. (2.) A short race resume or riding history. (3.) A copy of the riders most recent school report card (Applications have no set GPA standards, however a commitment to their education is must be evident.)

Applications may be sent to Danny Walker via email or to 8606 S.E. Frontage rd. Ft. Collins, CO 80528

This picture may not be a "good" picture. But, it does show the spirit of our great little friend. If you were standing still he was blur. He may of spoken soft and slow with his little southern accent, but his heart and spirit raced with a speed and intensity matched by few. I remember vividly the first time we spoke. I remember equally as well the last time. I am sure we all will. Thanks for being a part of my life Ethan, thanks for being a part of all our lives. Godspeed brother.
